Lavender is abundant in many parts of the country, and it makes fabulous wedding bouquets! For a small bouquet that could be used as favors or carried by your bridesmaids, all you have to do is gather the stems, trim them to the length you want, and tie the lavender with a pretty ribbon. Be sure to keep it in a glass of water until you are ready to use it. Lavender can get droopy in warm weather of if kept out of water for too long.
Lavender also combines beautifully with just about every herb or flower, and is happy in a bouquet holder as well. Use it everywhere, from the guest book to boutonnieres. Everyone loves the scent, and it will be a wedding to remember, as scent plays such a huge part in how our memories are stored.
Living lavender plants can also be used as centerpieces or aisle markers at the ceremony. What an easy and beautiful way to use this beloved plant.
Enjoy!
